Don has several reported cases in appellate courts in both Oregon and New Mexico. He was instrumental in establishing the law in Oregon regarding injury arising from real property damages by tortfeasor, and on expanding the statute of limitations on workers compensation injuries. Don enjoyed serving as a volunteer attorney in Mississippi in 1971 on behalf of the Lawyers Committee for Equal Rights under Law, and in Oregon as a associate attorney on behalf of the ACLU.
Don took leave of absence (and his senses) in 1989 when he, his wife and their cat left Oregon on a sailboat. They cruised for several years until they had to sell the boat and return to the real world. Don is an avid golfer (without avid scores) and enjoys skiing and grandkids.
