Kitec Class Action

If they ruined your home with shoddy plumbing, we can help.

We have filed the case Kolles vs. Kitec et al class action in Bernalillo County District Court seeking damages from Kitec for it's Ipex flexible plumbing system, which deteriorates after installation as the Chinese brass fittings lose thier zinc through interaction with water. The allegation is that the fittings are made with too much zinc insted of copper, and the zinc leaches out, causing the fitting to corrode and, inevitably, fail. The fittings were installed between 1996 and 2005, and have since been discontinued. They were mostly installed in relatively high-end tract homes, and are characterised by distinctive blue (cold) and orange (hot) plasticlike piping.
