Jeffrey S. Trespel earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 1981 from the University of Buffalo (SUNY) and did post-graduate work in finance at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He enjoyed a 15-year career in the insurance industry, and operated an insurance consulting practice, before he entered law school in 1997.
Mr. Trespel graduated with honors from the College of Law at Florida State University in Tallahassee in 2000, with a concentration in alternative dispute resolution. Immediately after graduation, he clerked for the Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Florida. His legal career includes litigation from both sides of the aisle in a variety of insurance related matters, and he enjoyed working in the bankruptcy system from the inside.
In 2003, he heeded the call to “go west, young man”. He joined the Firm in 2004. His current practice includes personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, clergy misbehavior, and wrongful death.
As the father of three active ‘tweens and teens, Jeffrey enjoys hiking and gardening, and exploring the West with his children. His latest pursuits include collecting authentic Native American pottery, textiles, and carvings. An avid guitarist and keyboard player, he is also in the studio with his alternative-rock band, The Percolators; they hope to release their first recordings this year.
