Robert M. Ortiz was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on March 25, 1964. He was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 1991 and the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and United States Tax Court in 1992.

He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and New Mexico Trial Lawyers.

Robert’s province is complex multi-party litigation and trial work. He has made his mark in the legal community representing victims and families who have suffered devastating losses due to the negligence of others. He is a former prosecutor and trial attorney for the District Attorney’s office of the 4th Judicial District (Mora, San Miguel and Guadalupe Counties) in New Mexico.

Robert and his wife Barbara have three lovely children, Robert III, Savannah Rose and Eric Hunter. He is a passionate big game hunter, holding several Boone & Crockett records. If there’s any spare time is his busy schedule, you can find Robert traveling to some far-off mountain range to hunt for his next exotic trophy.
