33-year-old Ronnie Fernandez identified as the slain man in Lotus parking lot.
After nearly a month, Albuquerque police released a statement containing the identity of a man that was hit by a car in Lotus park. It is believed that Fernandez was inside of a car and when the owner saw him, an argument started. People watching the conflict reported it to police and it’s believed that one person had a gun. The other driver involved was a man named Ivory Lynch who remained at the scene when police arrived.
When Fernandez got out of the vehicle, investigators say Lynch hit him with his car, fatally wounding him. When officers arrived at the scene, Lynch was arrested for murder and taken away. It is believed that Fernandez tried to rob Lynch, but instead of calling police, Lynch took matters in his own hands. The report did not say the amount of Lynch’s bond or if he is eligible for one.
