44-year-old Adrian Lovato was arrested and charged with aggravated fleeing and various other charges for a police chase in Albuquerque.
According to the report, Lovato attempted to flee from police in west Albuquerque. The report said deputies spotted Lovato driving recklessly and over the speed limit near Yucca and Plano. The chase tore through the streets of Albuquerque and police tried two pit maneuvers to stop the chase, however, both attempts were unsuccessful. After the second attempt. Lovato intentionally drove toward police and collided with two vehicles.
Both units were occupied by deputies and both sustained injuries in the crash. The collision disabled Lovato’s vehicle and he was arrested at the scene. Lovato was charged with aggravating fleeing, aggravated battery on a peace officer, DWI, charges, false imprisonment, and multiple misdemeanors. After being arrested Lovato admitted to consuming drugs and alcohol before driving. The report didn’t say how bad the officer’s injuries were, but they were non-life threatening. At this time it’s unclear is Lovato’s bond has been revoked.
