Albuquerque Firefighter was the first to respond to an injury accident at Wyoming and Academy.
The report stated that firefighters responded to a 911 call about a crash that took place in Albuquerque. Firefighters were the first to arrive with police and medical personnel close behind. Firefighters made the scene safe until police arrived to assist. While police blocked off the road and conducted their investigation, paramedics treated those injured in the crash. None of the injuries reported were severe, however, one person was taken to the hospital for treatment. They have since been released.
Through the statements gained from those involved, officers were able to rule out impairment as a contributing factor in the crash. At this time, neither of the drivers involved will face criminal punishment and the matter will likely go to civil court. Speed was not mentioned in the crash so it was likely ruled out at the scene as well. The crash is still under investigation at this time, which is why the identities of those involved are being held. As the APD release information, we will provide updates.
We hope those injured in the crash make a quick recovery and return to the life they once had.
