Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on 98th and San Ygnacio.
According to the report, the crash happened at the intersection of 98th and San Ygnacio. At this time, not much information is know about the cause of the crash. Impairment was not mentioned in the original so it was likely ruled out the scene. Officers are leaning towards distraction or inattention as the primary cause of the crash. The collision closed the intersection for about two hours before cleanup crews reopened the road.
The driver was not harmed in the crash and gave a statement to police. Officers allowed the driver to leave without facing punishment. The names of those involved have not been released at this time.
