Albuquerque Police released a report about a rollover collision that involved at least two cars on I-25.
The report stated that the collision blocked three northbound lanes on I-25 near Jefferson. Emergency personnel were at the scene quickly and set to work. While officers blocked off the lanes, cleanup crews moved the involved vehicles to the side of the road. At least two people were injured as a result of the crash but the severity is unknown. EMTs were at the scene providing treatment as needed. Luckily, this was a non-fatality situation and everyone is glad to have their lives.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and at this time it’s unclear what caused the crash. Alcohol was not mentioned in the initial report, however, investigators will likely check the condition of the drivers involved. Police obtained statements from those at the scene, however, the details of that conversation was not released. At this time none of the drivers will face punishment for the crash, but this may change in the following weeks. There has been no word on any civil suits being filed.
