APD have arrested two suspects in connection with a stolen car that hit another vehicle at Coors and Hanover.
According to a report released by APD, two individuals stole a vehicle and began joy riding around the city. The owners reported the car stolen, but police were not able to locate the car right away. Not many details were released about the suspects and it’s believed they are minors. The suspects were riding through the streets, speeding and driving reckless, but eventually, their luck ran out. The owner of the vehicle spotted them and alerted police of their location.
The Police were near the location just as the stolen vehicle entered the intersection of Coors and Hanover. The stolen crashed into another vehicle with a violent impact. It is believed the victim driver sustained minor injuries but were able to transport themselves to the hospital. Police arrived at the scene within minutes of the crash and were able to arrest the suspects.
They are now being held and questions, but since the suspects may be minors, their identities may not be released for a while. As details are released, we will provide updates or names, trial dates, and settlements. So many stolen car joy rides end in tragedy, thankfully all parties are alive.
