Albuquerque Police are looking into a two-car accident at University and Coal that resulted in injuries.
At this time, not much is known about the cause of the crash. The report stated the crash took place at the intersection of University and Coal when one driver became distracted. Police also believe speed played a major role in the crash, however, the speeds were not reckless. Impairment was ruled out by officers at the scene after talking to both drivers.
While police were conducting their investigation, paramedics were treating those injured in the crash. The passenger and driver of one of the vehicles involved were both injured and taken to the hospital in stable condition. The other driver was unharmed but shaken up by the crash. The intersection of Unversity and Coal was closed for about two hours but is now open for travel. There is no more information about the crash and we will provide new information as it is released.
