The Albuquerque Police Department is looking for a vehicle associated with the death of a man found on the road.
Officers arrived at the intersection of Girard and Gibson. Once there, they noticed a man dead on the road due to severe injuries. Paramedics were called to the scene and they officially pronounced the man dead. The report didn’t say if the man was carrying ID at the time of the crash. After an initial investigation, officers came to the conclusion that the man was struck by a vehicle. Officers canvassed the area in hopes of finding clues but was unsuccessful.
Police are asking the community to come forward with information. The following days will likely shed more light on what led up to the crash. Also, the driver who hit the man will likely be captured soon and face punishment for his crimes. We offer our condolences to the family of the man who lost his life. We wish the family a swift retribution in their quest for justice. We will keep you updated on the story as evidence is processed and released.
Drivers are urged to be careful of pedestrians crossing the roadway. Also, pedestrians are being told to assume the car can’t see you and always be safe.
