The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash involving a pedestrian on Tramway Blvd.
The report stated a pedestrian was involved in a crash near the southbound lanes of Tramway Blvd at San Rafael. At this time, there isn’t much information available. The report didn’t say the condition of the pedestrian, however, we know the crash wasn’t immediately fatal. The condition of the driver involved was also not mentioned in the report but this isn’t uncommon. The BSCO is conducting an investigation into the crash and until the evidence is processed, not much will be released.
The investigation will likely include a toxicology report for the pedestrian. However, alcohol was not mentioned in the initial report so it was likely ruled out by deputies. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but there is no word from them at this moment. The intersection of Tramway Blvd and San Rafael is open again for the commute. We will let you know if the driver involved will face punishment or if the medical condition of the pedestrian changes.
We hope the pedestrian involved makes a quick recovery and forges a better life post-crash.
