The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department released a report about a crash involving a pedestrian near Coors Blvd SW and Sw. Sage.
According to the report, deputies found a man in the road with severe injuries. After checking the man, deputies believe the man was struck by a vehicle which caused the injuries. However, they believe the man was on the road when he was struck by the vehicle. The report doesn’t say whether the driver of the car was at the scene or if they are searching for a vehicle. Deputies were able to rule alcohol out at the scene. At this time, no criminal charges are being pursued. We will let you know if this changes.
Police are asking anyone with information to reach out to the BSCO to assist with the investigation. The report didn’t say if the man had identification or if his next of kin was contacted. He was officially pronounced dead at the scene and at this time no further information is available. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department is likely investigating the matter since it was a fatality collision, and it could take a week before the information is processed and released.
