The Albuquerque Police Department has fired an officer who was in the probationary phase of her training.
According to the report, 27-year-old Crystal Quintana was involved in a crash near Coors Blvd and La Orilla. The report said a driver in a white BMW drifted from their lane and collided with a truck. A witness to the crash followed the suspect driver and provided police with the license plate number. Shortly after, police arrived at the residence of Quintana and arrested her after she showed signs of impairment. Also, the witness who provided the license plate could testify to Quintana being involved.
Quintana was arrested and charged with a DWI and fleeing the scene of an accident. It’s unclear if the person was hurt in the crash. Also, she was fired from the Albuquerque Police Department. The report didn’t say if she was allowed to leave on bond. If any inf0rmation is released we will provide updates on the story.
