Albuquerque Police have now identified two of the drivers that were killed in a crash that took place on Tramway Blvd.
According to the report, 22-year-old Dominic Moya and 18-year-old Tessi Parker stole a vehicle prior to the crash. A Bernalillo County Sheriff spotted the reported stolen vehicle and began the pursuit. The driver of the stolen vehicle began to tear through traffic weaving in and out of lanes to avoid drivers. The Sheriff pursuing the two were careful not to injure other drivers.
After a lengthy chase, the pressure of the chase caused the driver of the stolen vehicle to make a mistake. Police are not sure who was driving the vehicle but the car crashed into a tow truck and caught fire. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene to treat injuries. Unfortunately, Dominic Moya and Tessi Parker died at the scene of the crash. There were also two people in the tow truck at the time of the crash and both were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Since both suspects passed at the scene, police were able to wrap of the investigation quickly. The driver and passenger in the tow truck are now released from the hospital and it is unclear if they will file a civil suit.
