Taos Police released a report about an injury accident that happened on Gusdorf Road.
According to the report, at least two vehicles were involved in the accident and one driver was trapped in their vehicle. The report didn’t state the cause of the crash or the events leading up to it. However, we do know both drivers were present when officers arrived at the scene. Police obtained the report from both drivers who were allowed to leave without facing punishment.
It took at least 15 minutes for the driver trapped in their vehicle to be freed by emergency personnel. They were then treated by EMTs but the report didn’t say if they were transported to the hospital. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and police suspect inattention to be a contributing factor. Alcohol was not mentioned in the initial report, so it was likely ruled out by questioning from officers. We will provide updates as they are released by drivers.
