The family of Corrina Vaden is suing Luke Griffin for his involvement in the crash that killed their loved one.
The lawsuit was filed with a District Court in Santa Fe County. The lawsuit accused Griffin of being drunk and speeding at the time of the crash. The collision took place on I-25 near the San Felipe Pueblo Exit, and Griffin was reported going 100 mph. There aren’t many details about the crash but Vaden was killed and the two passengers were seriously injured. They have since recovered from the physical wounds but they psychological ones are still there.
The Vaden Estate is suing Luke Griffin for past and future damages in pain. The dollar amount was not released in the report. While the civil matters are proceeding, Griffin also has to worry about criminal charges. He was able to post the $50,000 bail but, could face up to 15 years in prison. The family is still upset and will definitely see this through to the end. Police are also looking for the people that supplied the 18-year-old Luke Griffin with the alcohol but so far, police have been unable to find them.
