Santa Rosa Police released a report about a multi-vehicle collision that killed four people in on I-40.
Authorities say the crash took place on I-40 in Santa Rosa. Investigators say one of the vehicles was an RV and one of the front tires blew before the crash. The blown tire caused the RV to cross into oncoming traffic and strike two cars. The crash killed all four people in the RV and severely injured the occupants of the victim cars. Paramedics and police was called to the scene by drivers passing the crash and arrived within 20 minutes.
The four killed individuals were identified by police at the scene. Michael Bates, Renee Forman, Shyanne Wilbur, and Nikki Wilbur were all killed in the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene by EMTs and their bodies were taken away. EMTs also provided treatment to the occupants of the cars that were struck by the RV. After initial treatment, they were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
