Farmington Police respond to another crash in an intersection between two vehicles.
Farmington Police have seen an increase in collisions at intersections. The latest crash occurred at Hutton Ave and San Juan Blvd and left at least one person injured. It’s believed that one of the drivers became distracted and crashed into another vehicle. However, at this time, the evidence cannot verify that. Alcohol was left out of the initial report, so it was likely ruled out at the scene by officers. Also, it doesn’t appear that road rage was a factor.
Speed and inattention likely were factors in the crash but the investigation is still pending. As evidence is processed and investigators track down leads, new information will be released about the crash. As a result of the collision, one person had to be treated for unknown injuries. The parties involved declined to release their identities and police are holding them since no one was charged. Neither driver will face punishment for the crash as all criminal behavior was ruled out.
Check back for updates and the names of those involved as information is released by the authorities.
