Albuquerque Police responded to a crash that took place on Atrisco Vista Blvd.
According to the report, a semi-truck and passenger vehicle were involved in the collision. Officers at the scene were unable to provide an official cause of the crash. However, they were able to rule out impairment and recklessness and factors to the crash. The crash occurred on Atrisco Vista Blvd and closed both directions through Paseo del Norte on I-40. While cleanup crews worked to reopen the road, paramedics were spotted providing treatment at the scene. Luckily, there were no major injuries reported and everyone is expected to be okay.
The APD is still investigating the crash, but at this time, neither driver will face punishment for the crash. The investigation will be handed over to the Crash Reconstruction Unit of the APD for a deeper analysis. Since the crash was non-fatal, it will take some time before investigators are able to get to this crash. Atrisco Vista Blvd through Paseo del Norte has been reopened, but drivers should expect sluggish traffic in the area. Check back in the following weeks for updated information.
