Deming, New Mexico (November 7, 2017): A Deming Police Department vehicle was totaled on Saturday, November 5, 2017, after being rear-ended on Florida Street, near its intersection with Diamond Street, in Deming, New Mexico. No officers were injured in the crash.
According to Deming Police Chief Bobby Orosco, the driver of the other vehicle, local resident Juan Hernandez, 32, was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. After release, Hernandez was taken to the Luna County Detention Center. He has been charged with DUI, reckless driving, resisting arrest, and a variety of other infractions stemming from the rear-end collision.
