Officers with the Albuquerque Police released a report about a collision involving a motorcycle on Pan American.
The report stated that a motorcycle and passenger vehicle collided at the intersection of Osuna and Pan American. The APD didn’t say what caused the crash, this is due to the ongoing investigation. Paramedics were also on the scene to treat injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to UNM Hospital in critical condition. Although the motorcyclist’s injuries were severe, he is expected to live. No further information was released about the motorcyclist at this time.
The report didn’t say if the other driver was injured or if they will face punishment for the crash. The identities of those involved are being held by the APD until the investigation yields further evidence. The intersection of Osuna and southbound Pan American was closed for a short time while police investigated and wounds were treated. The intersection is now back open but drivers are urged to be cautious while navigating intersections.
