The Albuquerque Police department released a report about a collision that took place on Carmony and Alexander.
The report stated that two vehicles collided in the intersection causing one of the drivers to be injured. The report didn’t say which driver was injured, however, EMTs were spotted at the scene. The accident caused the intersection of Carmony and Alexander to be blocked for a short time which delayed traffic. However, police and cleanup crews were quick to reopen the roads. Police at the scene obtained statements of those involved but did not release further details.
The driver who was injured was taken to a local hospital via ambulance in unknown condition. However, the person is expected to make a full recovery. Investigators declined to give an official cause but were able to rule alcohol out. Speed may have been a factor in the crash, however, investigators are waiting for evidence to finish processing. The Crash Reconstruction Unit will also conduct their investigation, but as of now, neither driver was blamed. If any of the drivers face charges or a lawsuit, we will keep you updated.
