Bernalillo County rear-end collision caused by inattentive semi-truck driver resulting in serious injuries – $185,000 settlement
While driving eastbound on Interstate 40 through Bernalillo County, a husband and wife were rear-ended by an inattentive semi-truck driver who failed to slow for traffic stopped at a construction zone. The force of the impact caused a chain reaction involving two other vehicles. The husband suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash, including loss of consciousness, an open arm fracture, seatbelt lacerations, and multiple hematomas; he had to be air-lifted from the scene to the nearest hospital.
