Albuquerque Police have blocked off Rio Bravo Blvd because of a crash.
According to the report, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Rio Bravo and Del Rio. Not much is known about the crash at this time and police hope to have everything figured out soon. Injuries were reported in the crash, however, the report didn’t say how severe they were. Paramedics were spotted at the scene providing treatment to those injured. While medical personnel treated those injured, other emergency personnel closed the eastbound lanes of Rio Bravo.
Those injured were able to give statements to police, however, what was said was not released. Through the initial investigation, police were able to rule out impairment and road conditions as factors to the crash. Investigators are also looking for witnesses to help figure out what happened. As of now, neither driver received a citation or was arrested for the crash. It will likely stay this way until the matter is settled in civil court. We will keep you updated on the information as details are released.
