Officers with the Roswell Police Department released a report about a collision at Sunset and Alameda.
The report stated the two drivers knew each other and were following each other at high speeds. The two were traveling north on Sunset ave just before the collision. As one of the cars attempted to turn west onto Alameda, the driver lost control and crashed into Waymaker Church”s parking lot. The driver and passenger were both injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Officers aren’t sure of the exact cause of the crash, however, they are aware of the other vehicle.
At this time, no punishment was awarded to the drivers of the other vehicle however, this may change. Even if the crash was an accident and there was no malicious motive, the other vehicle may have caused the crash. Officers have not confirmed this, which is why no one was arrested or cited. Also, alcohol was not mentioned in the initial report so it was likely ruled out at the scene. In the coming days, we will likely have the names of those involved and updates on their condition.
