Taos Central dispatch released a report about a four-vehicle collision on Phillips 66 gas station near Ranchos de Taos.
According to the report, the crash occurred around 8 a.m. last Wednesday. It’s believed that one of the drivers lost control of their vehicle and caused the collision. Police arrived at the scene where they began to diagnose the situation. The collision blocked multiple lanes of Phillips 66 Hwy near Paseo del Pueblo and it took a while for cleanup crews to move the wreckage. It’s believed that one of the vehicles had to be towed.
There were multiple injuries reported in the crash and at least two people were taken to the hospital. The condition of the drivers is unknown at this time but we know the injuries were non-life threatening, Investigators have not released an official cause of the crash and are working to answer important questions. All of the drivers will be tested for impairment, but the initial report did not mention signs of alcohol. It has only been a few days since the crash, next week further details should be released.
Since the crash involved four different drivers, police will have to sort through each statement to separate truth from fact.
