Taos Police blotter released a report about an auto-pedestrian crash near the Laughing Horse Gallery.
The report stated the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle along Paseo del Pueblo Norte. Bystanders called the authorities and emergency personnel responded shortly. When paramedics arrived, the person sustained a hip injury as well as a loss of consciousness. After brief treatment, EMTs stabilized the person and took them to the hospital. The person was released in a short time. Paseo del Pueblo Norte was blocked while EMTs treated injuries, but is now clear.
The report didn’t say this was a hit-and-run so the driver of the vehicle likely stayed on the scene. Officers conducting the investigation likely obtained statements from people at the gallery as well as checking to see if any cameras caught the accident. As of now, no arrests have been made and no one faced punishment for the crash. This may change in the coming weeks and we will let you know when the situation changes.
