Taos Police blotter released a report about a crash between a bicyclist and car near Cids Food Market.
The report stated a car and bicycle were traveling on Paseo del Pueblo Norte when the car struck the bicyclist. Police were at the scene shortly and began the investigation. Officer wasn’t immediately able to determine the cause of the crash, however, they were able to rule impairment out. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries and the driver of the car was unharmed. Officers were able to clear the road quickly and Paseo del Pueblo was open shortly.
The driver of the car was not cited or arrested at the scene and the names of those involved are being kept by police. This may change if criminal charges are pressed or if evidence shows fault. The bicyclist did not say if he will pursue civil action against the driver and we will let you know if he does.
