Taos Police Blotter released a post about an accident involving two bicyclists and a car.
The report didn’t release the names of those involved, but we know at least one of the bicyclists were injured. Officers at the scene were not able to provide an official cause of the crash. However, they were able to rule alcohol out at the scene. It is likely, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle. But, this has not been confirmed by police. The person injured was taken to the hospital by a Tristate Careflight ambulance in stable condition.
Officers at the scene are conducting an investigation into the crash, but at this time cannot say the cause. No one was cited or arrested for their involvement in the crash. This may change as evidence is processed and released. Anyone with information is urged to give that knowledge to the Taos County Sheriff’s Office. Those involved are lucky that they escaped with their lives. We will update the story as information is released by Taos County Deputies. Paseo del Pueblo Norte is now open following the crash.
After a recent string of injury accidents on Paseo del Pueblo Norte drivers are urged to be careful if they must use this road.
