Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal crash between two motorcyclists and a car.
At this time, not much is known about the cause of the crash and the driver has not faced punishment. Investigators at the scene stated the driver in the passenger vehicle attempted to make a left turn when he struck the motorcycle. The bike was carrying two people who were tossed at least five feet from the bike. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene after many calls from drivers passing the scene.
When medical and police personnel arrived at the scene, both people on the motorcycle were pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The report didn’t say what the injuries were, but we do know they were non-life threatening. The driver’s identity is being held by police until the investigation finishes. Also, it’s unclear if the next of kin of those killed have been reached been police. We will keep you updated as the story develops.
We offer our condolences to the family of those killed in the crash. We hope they find the strength to honor the lives of their loved ones.
