Albuquerque Fire and Police released a report about an injury accident on the I-25 north of Menaul.
Not much information has been released at this time, however, we know two vehicles were involved. Officers were unable to determine what caused the crash at the scene, and the collision is still under investigation. Paramedics were spotted providing treatment to both drivers, but it’s unclear how severe the injuries are. Also, the report didn’t say if either of the people injured was taken to the hospital.
Impairment was ruled out at the scene, but speed and inattention still may be factors. The northbound lanes of I-25 near Menaul were closed while police and medical personnel worked at the scene. The lanes were closed for about an hour before being cleared to travel. Both drivers were allowed to leave without facing criminal punishment and it will likely stay that way. We will update the story as the condition changes or more information is released.
We hope those involved recover from their injuries quickly and regain the lives they once held.
