Farmington Police released a report via Blotter about a two-car injury accident on College Blvd.
According to the report, officers with the Farmington Police responded to the crash around 2 p.m. When they arrived at the 3800 block of College Blvd, they began investigating the crash. Paramedics were called to the scene because both drivers involved were complaining of injuries. Although injured, both drivers were able to give their statements to police. Impairment was ruled out as a cause of the crash, however, police suspect inattention or speeding. At this time, neither driver will face punishment for the crash, however, this is subject to change.
Both directions of travel on College Blvd was blocked while the crash was cleared. After 20 minutes, the road was open for travel, however, traffic was sluggish in the area. The report didn't say how severe the injuries were, but EMTs were spotted transporting at least one of the involved parties to the hospital. Both are now recovering and likely preparing for a civil suit. However, there has been no information on this at this time. Check back for updates in the coming days.
