Albuquerque Fire and Police crews responded to an injury accident on at Candelaria and 12th.
At this time, not much is known about the cause of the crash. Police were the first to arrive at the scene and they began to work on the scene. Fire and medical crews arrived a short time after and assisted officers. The report didn’t say in what capacity firefighters were used, however, we know, neither driver had to be extracted. As a result of the crash, minor injuries were reported, but the report didn’t give a name.
The crash is still under investigation by the Crash Reconstruction Unit and no official cause has been determined. While officers were investigating the crash, EMTs provide medical attention to both drives. Only one person was taken to the hospital for further treatment, but luckily, the injuries are non-life threatening. Candelaria at 12th was fully blocked for about two hours until emergency personnel cleared the wreckage. Candelaria through 12th is back open for travel and drivers are urged to drive carefully.
