Officers with the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating the death of a motorcyclist that was involved in a crash Wednesday night.
Investigators believe the crash took place about 9:30 p.m., at the intersection of Rover and Tramway. Not much about the crash is known at this time but two other vehicles were involved in the accident. Also, police were able to determine the crash involved high speeds. Apparently, the motorcyclist was going nearly 100 mph at the time of the crash.
Authorities declined to describe the actions of the other car involved in the investigation. Paramedics arrived at the scene, however, the motorcyclist’s wounds were too severe. EMTs pronounced the person dead at the scene. The report did not say if the driver of the car was injured or long it took to clear the wreckage. Any drivers traveling near Tramway and Rover are urged to use caution. We will provide updates as the APD releases details.
