Albuquerque Police released a report via Twitter about a two-vehicle accident at Shepard NE and Comanche NE.
Police didn’t have much information about the crash because it is still under investigation. We do know the crash involved two vehicles. The report didn’t say if any of the drivers were injured, however, all medical personnel was present at the scene. Both drivers were able to give their statement to police and neither faced punishment for the crash. Through the statements obtained, officers were able to rule out impairment as a contributing factor.
While emergency personnel was working on the scene, Shepard NE at Comanche NE was partially blocked. However, police and cleanup crews were quick to reopen the lanes for travel. It’s possible one of the drivers was injured, but there has been no word at this time. Expect updates on this crash later today as more information is released. New Mexico has seen an increase in intersection collisions as the year is coming to a close. Drivers are urged to remain caution and slow down on the roads.
